across/through/over/past 表示“通过、经过”

　　(1)across 的含义与 on 有关，表示动作是在某一物体的表面进行的，从一边到另一边。

　　例如：

　　It took them six weeks to walk across the great desert.

　　他们花了六周时间才走过那个大沙漠。

　　(2)through 的含义与 in 有关，表示动作是在某一物体的空间里进行。

　　例如：

　　We can’t travel through the forest by road.

　　我们不能通过公路穿过森林。

　　(3)over 表示动作在某物体的上方进行，意为“越过”。

　　例如：

　　Then we took off over a part of forest.

　　随后我们的飞机起飞了，飞过部分森林上空。

　　(4)past 意为“从……旁经过”，表示运动发生在某物旁边。

　　例如：

　　The crowd of people walked past the City Hall to the Center Square.

　　这群人走过市政厅到达中心广场。
